Osteria Morini brings the soulful cuisine and convivial spirit of Italy to local vibrant neighborhoods. The restaurant is located at Roosevelt Field Mall and features a spacious dining room, full bar, and comfortable outside patio for al fresco dining. Since opening in October 2019, Morini is highly regarded as one of the Top Italian Restaurants in Long Island.
The Morini menu features signature fresh pastas, including Cappelletti (truffled ricotta ravioli with prosciutto), alongside Battilardo (our meat and cheese board), and simply prepared grilled meats and seafood (Tomahawk ribeye and Mare seafood salad).
We are seeking Porters/Dishwashers to join our world-class culinary team. Osteria Morini operates as part of Altamarea Group, an award-winning, multiple Michelin Star, global hospitality firm.
Responsibilities include:
• Washing dishes, glasses, utensils, pots, pans, etc.
• Responsible for the cleanliness of the kitchen and individual work area
• Maintain workstation keeping a fast pace in a high volume environment
• Assist with food prep task, i.e. peeling potatoes, carrots, etc.
• Assist with the receiving of supplies, stocking shelves, general cleaning
• Mop back of Kitchen floors
• Ensure proper sorting and disposal of garbage, compost, and recycling
• Have experience using an industrial dish washing machine
Requirements:
• Must have open availability and able to work flexible hours
• Must be able to work in a physically challenging environment and lift up to 50lbs
• Attention to detail, motivated, and take good direction
• Must be punctual, reliable, and able to work in a team environment
• Must be positive, honest, resourceful, polite, courteous, and presentable
