Maison Sun is a true, speakeasy fine dining experience.

We offer 9-course French and Asian inspired tasting menus prepared by Executive Chef Brendan Skiber, formerly of Masa, Quince, and The Modern.

Our flagship location open daily is located at the original Chef's Table at Brooklyn Fare (3 Michelin Stars) in Boerum Hill before said restaurant moved to Hudson Yards. 

We operate out of one the finest built kitchens on the world, joined by the new line of Zalto Glassware, Hering Berlin dishware, Mauvier copper pots and pans.

We are looking to hire and train to part-time staff, with the possibility of full-time employments, at a fixed rate of $200-$400 plus tips.

You will be hired as a private contractor, paid via Zelle, and eventually issued a 1099 Tax Form. 

Job Overview

Our captain champions all standards, policies, and procedures of Maison Sun. We are looking for a highly-motivated professional to join our team. Personal love of and commitment to world-class hospitality is a must. You should have strong fine-dining experience, as well as be accustomed to providing detail-oriented service in a demanding and busy restaurant setting. This particular Captain position is a unique combination of Captain, Assistant Sommelier, and Polisher. You will be the one "who can do it all" and transition seamlessly between the various aspects of your role over the course of a shift, as needed.

Ideal qualifications:

• strong wine knowledge, particularly of France and Germany.
• strong knowledge of classic French cuisine.
• strong knowledge of East Asian cuisines.
• strong knowledge of NYC fine-dining scene and beyond (Michelin guide, World's 50 Best, James Beard).
• extensive experience working in Michelin-starred restaurants.
• well-practiced tableside maintenance and service skills.
• enthusiasm for participating in all aspects of dining room service.
• enthusiasm for opening and closing duties.
• enthusiam for drying and polishing glassware.
