Our Security Officer's are responsible for safeguarding, protecting and securing the casino's assets, employees, guest and all visitors during his/her assigned shift.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Level I
- Responsible for security functions at assigned stations.
- Enforces Squaxin Island Gaming Enterprise and regulatory laws and requirements.
- Maintains constant vigilance to ensure the safety of patrons and employees and Little Creek Casino Resort property.
- Watch participants in games such as dice and cards to detect cheating, identify rule violators, and observe persons designated by superior.
- Operates radio or similar device to communicate with base station or other vehicles to report disruption of service.
- Confers with the on-duty Supervisor/Lead Security Officer on any detection of infringements or situation worthy of investigation.
- Cooperate with Law Enforcement Agencies in apprehending anyone involved in criminal activity.
- May transfer monies, chips, and documentation within the casino.
- Prepare and submit reports as required, including patrol logs and ensure that departmental daily records are accurate and maintained.
- Ensure that equipment is clean and in working order and that uniforms are clean and complete.
- Provide information and directions to guests.
- Patrols the casino premises, hotel, entertainment venues, lobbies, corridors, bars, convention and parking areas.
Level II
- Perform all duties of Security Officer Level I & II
- Provide guidance and mentorship to Level I Officers
- Act in place of Security Lead as needed.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES
- Responsible for knowing all events on the property.
- Attend all mandatory meetings and training.
- Maintain confidentiality.
- Other duties may be assigned.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Level I
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Three months related security experience and/or training
Level II
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- One-year related security experience and/or training
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Class III Gaming License from the Squaxin Island Gaming Commission.
- Must have or be able to obtain a First Aid certification within the first 90 days of employment
- Must have a valid Washington State Driver License and be insurable on the Tribe's insurance
