Frankies 457 Spuntino is looking for a Beverage Manager to join our team!
The Beverage Manager is responsible for overseeing the day to day beverage operations of Frankies 457 Spuntino. You will work closely with the our Wine Director to oversee the Frankies 457 Spuntino beverage program, maintaining its integrity, creativity, and profitability. In addition, you will work in tandem with your co-management team to support the general operations of the restaurant, ensuring the successful execution of service while maintaining company standards and meeting financial goals. As a working manager, you will work alongside and support the front of house team to provide stellar hospitality. You possess a passion for beverage, the ability to lead, mentor, and train FOH staff, and a strong work ethic.

What You’ll Do:
- Play an integral role in the management of the Frankies Spuntino bar program including the development of the seasonal cocktail and event beverage programs, as well as the selection of wines by the glass, spirits, and beer
- Manage proper operating standards for the restaurant, including all food safety and labor compliance
- Ensure an excellent and warm service experience for all guests, responding positively and promptly to guest concerns and complaints.
- Drive standards of service and provide continuous support to all service staff, actively participating in service as needed
- Ensure excellent maintenance and cleanliness of the restaurant at all times
- Ensure the restaurant is staffed effectively to execute all service standards
- Properly open and close physical operation, including all financial reporting necessary
- Conduct weekly beverage education with all staff to inspire and engage the team
- In collaboration with Wine Director, order all beverage on a weekly basis
- Conduct beverage inventory monthly and ensure all beverage storage areas are kept clean and organized.
- Assist with weekly beverage receiving
- Recruit, train, and schedule Front of House staff
- Achieve weekly sales goals set in collaboration with the General Manager and provide weekly reporting of by the glass sales for ordering purposes.
You Should Have:
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a leadership position at a restaurant
- Expert wine and beverage knowledge
- Excellent problem-solving and conflict management abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to teach and mentor employees
- Outstanding communication and organizational skills with proficiency in Google Docs
- Flexible work schedule with ability to work nights, weekends and holidays
- NY Food Handler’s Certificate a plus
- English Fluency, Spanish knowledge is a plus
- The ability to meet the physical demands for this position, including: seeing, hearing, speaking, reaching, frequently lifting up to 25 pounds, occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds, standing for long periods, bending, and moving intermittently during working hours.
