Finding inspiration from one of the most eclectic culinary scenes in the world, chef Pepe Moncayo brings with him ten years of cooking and living in Singapore to the forthcoming Jiwa Singapura. It is in Singapore where Moncayo met his wife, had his children, and deepened his love for cooking and the art of hospitality. He calls it his “home, forever.”
The Tysons Galleria restaurant will capture the best of Singapore’s street-food culture and high-end dining, giving the larger D.C.-metro area a taste of some of the Asian city-state’s boldest, nuanced flavors. Expect to see the classics like Hainanese chicken rice, laksa and chili crab.
The Role

As the Bar Assistant you are responsible for assisting the Bartender to satisfy guests needs. Your section is filled with silverware, linen, and glassware that enables you to add, eliminate or modify place settings quickly based on party size or preference. Keep an eye out to ensure furniture is in place too, pushing in chairs when patrons leave, making adjustments as needed to ensure ease of movement in the dining room.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Guest satisfaction
- Clears and resets tables
- Assist and support the bartender with the preparation and service of beverages in a professional and efficient manner
- Prepares appropriate garnishes and glassware for all beverages
- Oversees bar maintenance. Maintains a clean and organized bar at all times. Keeps bar area supplied with Glassware, soda, etc.
- Operates as a member of the team, helping others and requesting help as needed. Performs other restaurant duties as requested by management.
- Performs assigned opening and closing sidework
- Adheres to the structure of the bar and returns all items to their proper locations
- Assist with the stocking of all liquor, beer, wine, and N/A beverage products
- Assist Bartender with running food, clearing, and cleaning the tables.

Compensation Details
Compensation: Hourly ($7.50 - $9.50) plus tips
