Job Description



Must love hospitality!


Proper Hotel is seeking a qualified Food Runner/Busser for Charmaine’s. Food Runner/Bussers are the connection between the Front of the House and Back of the House, eliminating a lot of stress and discord by communicating information between cooks and servers. They also make sure the food goes out at the time precisely as the Chef intended. The main responsibility for this position is to deliver food to guests in a friendly, professional & knowledgeable manner. Applicants should be able to work well under pressure, be professional, efficient, detail-oriented, and courteous. We expect a team player attitude for this position. Must have a flexible schedule. 

Responsibilities:

  • Knowledge of all the ingredient details of every dish on the menu
  • Delivering food to guest quickly and efficiently
  • Regular table maintenance and clearing of dishes
  • Communicating clearly with the kitchen and front of house staff

 

Requirements:

  • High school diploma preferred
  • Previous restaurant or lounge experience preferred
  • Customer-oriented approach and patience
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Excellent people skills
  • Responsible and trustworthy
  • Attention to cleanliness and safety
  • Licenses or Certificates: Licenses or Certificates:  

          - ServSafe  Food Handler Certification is a prerequisite for this role.

          -California Responsible Beverage Service Training & Certification is a prerequisite for this role.

Compensation: Hourly ($16.99) plus tips
