About the position:
Annette, a wood-fired, shared-plate restaurant in the Stanley Marketplace, is hiring servers for full time work (four to five shifts per week). This position will be mostly serving with the occasional hosting/backwaiting shift. Some prior restaurant experience is required. Weekend availability is required, including Sundays. We are looking for passionate, hospitality-driven individuals. Kindness, Empathy + Intelligence are a must.
This is not your average serving/hosting job! We believe that a restaurant is an organism, and every person - from the host to the line cook to the dishwasher plays a critical role; because of this, we split tips EQUALLY between all hourly employees, front + back of house. Yet, everyone makes good money. The hourly rate (base wage plus tips) averages around $25-$35 per hour; our pay structure promotes a profoundly positive team environment. We offer:
- $25-35 per hour.
- Opportunities for hourly wage raises with experience.
- Health, dental and vision insurance eligibility after three months.
- Paid time off after six months if you regularly work at least 30 hours per week.
- Daily family meal
- Dining discounts, plus wholesale pricing on wine and spirits
- Regular wine and spirits training
- Free parking.
Our fast-paced restaurant must feel like a second home to our guests; it is up to us to provide that experience for them. Our team works together toward that common goal; all front-of-house staff must be willing + able to perform any + all front-of-house duties throughout any given shift.
An ideal candidate will have a solid knowledge of food, beverage + service, with a desire to please every guest. Must be an able + enthusiastic multitasker, capable of taking care of guests while also keeping up on other work throughout a shift. All of this must be accomplished while communicating effectively with other servers, hosts, our bar + kitchen staff.
Serious inquiries only, please.
About Annette:
Caroline is a 2022 James Beard Award winner in the Best Chef: Mountain category!
Caroline Glover founded Annette in the fall of 2016. She named the restaurant for her feisty and brilliant great aunt Netsie, a novelist and short story writer who lived in small town Texas. Netsie didn't teach Caroline to cook, though her tamales and martinis were exemplary. Instead, she taught Caroline to have an opinion. That confidence in her own good taste has carried Caroline through 14 years in the restaurant industry.
Before winning a James Beard Award in 2022, Caroline and her staff were nominated for the award four times. In 2019, Caroline was named one of the 10 best new chefs in America by Food and Wine magazine. In 2017, Annette was named one of the 50 Best New Restaurants in the Country by Bon Appetit magazine and was also was Eater Denver's restaurant of the year. Annette has been on 5280 magazine's list of Denver s 25 best restaurants each year since it opened.
