Cozy neighborhood restaurant and wine bar looking for a Line Cook to prepare precise, technique focused small plates. We are a small tight-knit team looking for a positive, hard-working person to be a part of our community!
Responsibilities include preparing and breaking down assigned stations for service, preparing menu items in a timely manner, and working with the Front of House staff to meet guests’ dietary requests.
To be considered for this role, you should be available to work dinner shifts Wednesday through Sunday. Friday and Saturday evening availability is a must.
Responsibilities
Demonstrates knowledge of all menu details and preparations, allergen information, and possible modifications
Maintaining up to date knowledge of recipes and plating for weekly special items
Practicing food and hygiene safety rules
Reading orders and communicating with servers to meet guests’ dietary requests
Communicating with and assisting coworkers on the line to produce food at an appropriate pace
Tracking multiple orders for inhouse service and takeout
Stocking and replenishing assigned stations at the beginning and end of service
Skills
Experience 3+ year(s) as a line cook in a busy concept
Knowledge working various stations including grill, fry, and sauté
Contributes to a positive and proactive culture in the restaurant
Excellent troubleshooting abilities; remain calm and professional in a fast-paced work environment
Multi-tasking abilities
Physical ability and stamina to carry heavy trays, lift 40 pounds, and stand for long hours
