Lobster Place is seeking Oyster Shuckers for our Chelsea Market operation comprising Cull & Pistol restaurant, Lobster place Seafood Hall & Retail Market. An original tenant of Chelsea Market, Lobster Place has built a world-wide reputation for delivering exquisite-quality seafood and dining experiences that has made it the most popular destination in the Market.
Responsibilities:
- Daily preparation of mise en place for the Oyster station in the Raw Bar or C&P
- Maintenance of accurate prep lists
- Maintenance of ice, oyster, inventory, and supplies in workstation
- Inspection of ingredients for quality control
- Regular set up and maintenance of raw bar display
- Coordinating pick-ups and service with servers and/or kitchen
- preparation of excellent food for service
- Maintenance of a clean, clutter free and organized station with a focus on presentation
- Daily interaction with retail customers in a professional manner
Qualifications:
- 1+ years’ prior oyster shucking experience
- enjoys working in a fast paced, high volume, fine casual dining
- ability to multitask with a strong sense of urgency
- detail orientated
- has solid retail customer service experience
- has a guest-oriented approach
- dependable
- thrives in a team environment
- Fully vaccinated as per Key to NYC mandate
- Availability to work evenings & weekends. Flexibility to work a variety of shifts (AM, PM)
Pay & Benefits:
- Hourly Rate: $18.00 per hour + tips
