Job Details

Frankies Spuntino Events is looking for experienced Event Chefs or our growing on and off premise events team in Brooklyn, NY.

Types of events that can be expected:

  • Family-Style Seated Dinners
  • Buffets and Cocktail Receptions
  • Weddings and other large events

Requirements:

  • Direct the culinary Events team with food preparation
  • Ability to work in a clean, organized, and efficient manner in a high-pressure environment
  • Ensure that food portions and food presentation meets FSG Events standards
  • Must have excellent knife skills and proficiency in all aspects of cooking
  • Maintain a working knowledge of food preparation for standard menu items
  • Maintain a clean work environment, including floors and passages
  • Maintain clean kitchen and equipment with the Events culinary team
  • Keep all food storage areas, refrigerators, freezers, etc. clean and organized
  • Manage the loading/unloading of deliveries and off-premise events as needed

Ideal candidates possess:

  • Professional work ethic
  • 5 years of related chef experience
  • Prepare and execute key components of dishes while ensuring quality and accuracy
  • Effective communication skills and ability to take direction from supervisors
  • Flexible working hours, including weekends and evenings, when required
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently, resourcefully, and proactively solve issues
  • Support their fellow cooks by being a team player

Frankies has earned a reputation as one of New York’s most beloved destinations for special occasions of all manner, from breathtaking weddings to intimate receptions. Our team collaborates closely with each host to understand, and meet, the unique needs of each affair, which can take place in a variety of idyllic settings. These include but are not limited to our iconic garden, the stable, and the elegant tavern atmosphere of our sister restaurant Franks Wine Bar. We also have vast experience hosting full-scale events off-site and are happy to craft more bespoke offerings upon request.
