Position Summary
The Host position for Landrace Group Inc. is the first and last point of contact with
Las Bis guests. They are responsible for greeting, seating, giving a gracious farewell
to the guests as well as maintaining the flow of the restaurant during service. The
reservationist/host will confirm all set reservations for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
guests daily, also retrieving messages and returning calls immediately in the clear,
concise and accurate manner.
Essential Functions
- Greet and seat guests, present menus to guests, inform them of specials and soups
- Maintain the waiting list
- Take guest information and quote wait times to guests accurately when tables are not immediately available
- Clean, organize and stock menus at host area
- Sweeping of foyer and front entrance area frequently
- Interact with guests upon arrival and as they leave the restaurant to ensure positive dining experience
- Answer phones and schedule reservations with large parties
- Other duties as directed
Additional Responsibilities
- Fill to go orders, if applicable
- Help maintain restrooms throughout shift
- Assist with opening/closing tasks and side work as needed
- Assumes other duties as assigned by company management.
Training and Experience
- Previous knowledge with OpenTable or any reservation systems
• 1+ year host experience
• 1+ year customer service experience
Skills and Knowledge
- Basic reading and writing skills are required
- Basic computer skills
- Knowledge of workplace safety procedures
- Ability to determine wait time
- Must visually scan restaurant for clean, unoccupied tables
Environment and Physical Demands
- Must be able to walk and stand during entire shift
- Reaches, bends and stoops frequently
- Remain stationary for long periods of time
- Must be able to safetly lift and carry up to 20 lbs
- Frequent washing of hands
- Hazards include, but are not limited to slipping and tripping
Compensation Details
Compensation: Hourly ($15.00) plus tips
