Carroll Group NYC is a restaurant group located in Williamsburg Brooklyn seeking a Chef de Cuisine for St. Anselm, a casual restaurant that nods to steakhouses while still keeping a neighborhood vibe.

JOB DESCRIPTION
The Chef is responsible for maintaining quality control; BOH staff scheduling, management and leadership; maintenance of restaurant and kitchen equipment; and reporting of food inventory.
The Chef will directly supervise and work beside all kitchen personnel and will support in ensuring front-of-house (FOH) personnel to provide an excellent guest experience.
This is a salaried position with benefits.
Qualifications
• At least three years of kitchen management experience in a similar role.
• Ability to maintain and implement kitchen systems and protocols.
• A passion for food with experience creating specials.
• Proven ability to hire, develop and motivate BOH staff.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and able to lead team with poise under pressure.
• Experience and understanding of both FOH and BOH dynamics.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Proven ability to build and cultivate strong, positive relationships with guests, vendors, and staff.
• Driven by a commitment to creating excellent product and providing seamless service.
• Proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft EXEL and Micros POS systems.
• Skills in food cost and cost control.
• Solid foundation of knowledge in food products and cooking.
• Knowledge and understanding of NYC DOH health and safety regulations, and employee on the job injury
reporting requirements.
• Must have NYC DOH Food Protection Certificate.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States.
• Minimum of three professional references.
