WHO WE ARE

Casa Cruz New York is located in a six-story beaux arts townhouse on 61st Street, between Park and Madison Avenue. We believe it is the perfect location to attract both the business crowd during the day as well as being a neighborhood spot in the evening. The ground, second and third floors will operate as a normal restaurant open to the public with priority to the partners, while the drawing room on the fourth floor, the private dining rooms on the fifth floor, and the rooftop terrace will be for exclusive use of our partners and their friends and families. Casa Cruz New York has 220 seats across five floors and will be open for lunch, dinner and after dinner drinks.

THE OPPORTUNITY

A Server at Casa Cruz New York will be responsible for always providing prompt and friendly food and beverage service to our guests by following the CCNY Brand Standard. The ideal candidate will have a great personality and being able to draw a crowd while maintaining special attention to our patrons, regulars and friends of the house. This role will set the stage for the experience a guest will have and will be responsible for the guest experience by providing prompt, attentive table service and by being all-knowing regarding our menu, beverage, and wine offerings.

The server will be energetic, enthusiastic, highly motivated and passionate about hospitality, food and beverage. The person will be a role model for the restaurant and accountable for the action taken. This role works with a strong attention to detail and directs the activities of their support staff to ensure an unparalleled dining experience.

This role guides the guest beyond the simple service of food and beverage, but through an unparalleled dining experience.

• Responsible for guiding the guests through the Casa Cruz dining experience.
• Graciously greeting and guiding guests as the main contact through their experience.
• Communicate with chefs, managers, and sommeliers to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Work with a sense of urgency to properly manage time and resources.
• Obtain a passion for detail and a willingness to learn.
• Responsible for knowledge of all menu items, preparations, and is able to describe every product and menu offering.
• Full awareness of allergens and potential substitutions.
• Knowledge of grape varietals, styles of wine, and can use knowledge to sell items and make educated suggestions to our guests regarding wine and beer pairings is preferred.
• Input all orders accurately into the point-of-sale system.  
• Deliver food and beverage items from kitchen to the guests by brand standards.

• Oversee service team to ensure steps of service, dining room maintenance, and guest satisfaction.
• Must be willing to develop other employees’ skills and work as a team player.
• Present an accurate guest check, accept payment, and quickly complete the transaction. Collecting the check before the guests leave. 
• Provide all appropriate paperwork such as signed guests receipts, manager voids, etc. at end of each shift.
• Handle any complaints with genuine concern and elevate to manager at all times. 
• Provide information to management to update guest’s profile in reservation system.
• Complete all opening, mid, and closing procedures; complete daily checklist and side work assignments.
• Provide each guest and partners with a friendly welcome and farewell to ensure a positive and memorable visit.
• Complete specific pre-service duties, side work and station maintenance, and applicable closing duties.
• Maintain a gracious, pleasant and friendly attitude, while contributing to a teamwork-based work environment.
• Adhere to the Dress & Appearance Policy.  
• Create an experience in such a way that guests feel compelled to return to the restaurant.
