I Like Pie Bake Shop is seeking a proactive leader for our front of house team. This Front of House Manager will understand the day-to-day dynamics of the retail food industry, as well as how it changes during holidays and other busy seasons. We need someone who will work closely with the Back of House Manager and the General Manager to devise continuous ways to create new revenue while maintaining brand integrity during company expansion.
In addition to other things, as the Front-of-House Manager you will be required to:
- Hire and maintain a productive front of house sales team
- Collaborate with the ILP team to create and implement sales driving initiatives
- Demonstrate the ability to effectively lead and communicate with our team
- Champion I Like Pie Bake Shop’s growth while maintaining positive morale and a professional attitude
- Create and monitor a weekly schedule that provides optimum sales-driven-staffing based on historical data and sales trends
- Maintain high standards of sanitation and ongoing maintenance to ensure a welcoming environment for our team and customers
- Manage inventory levels of packaging, goods and merchandise and place orders as needed.
- Create relationships within the community to promote the brand and store
- Ensure all established procedures are followed, maintaining the highest level of quality and consistency. Communicate expectations to set the team up for success
- Actively participate in training guide and procedure creation, implementation, and follow up
- Assume responsibility for our catering program and increase awareness and revenue by cultivating new opportunities
- Provide coaching and counseling to employees as needed
- Update and maintain point-of-sale systems, websites, and third-party delivery service sites (Uber Eats, Postmates) to keep pricing and information current
- Participate in the development of forward-facing and rear-facing communication (posters, flyers, e-blasts, menus, product descriptions, ingredient lists) to market our products and inform
Manager Skills:
- 2+ years in retail management, food experience a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Well organized, detail oriented and able to multi-task
- Proven track record of success in generating sales in retail industry
- Must be able to work overtime as needed. Must be available to work weekends, evenings, special events and holidays
- Possess and maintain a California Food Handlers Card as well as a valid driver’s license: run errands and deliveries when needed
- Some marketing and light graphic design experience desired
- Experience managing social media account(s)
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Point-of-sale updating experience - light website updating
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds and frequently bend and twist from the waist. Frequently required to use hand and finger motions, handle or feel objects, reach with hands and arms. Regularly required to handle food, hot beverages, and work with sharp objects
