Job Details

The Wesley is a newly opened restaurant located in the heart of the West Village. As a sustainable restaurant, we focus on where our food and beverage comes from. 

The cuisine focuses on vegetable forward dishes, embodying a formal elegance to what some may call farm-to-table. With produce from local farmers and a small handful of ethically raised animal-based dishes, healthy eating is at the heart of our space. 

Our beverage menu contains selections from around NY, highly esteemed U.S. producers, and many undervalued sustainable imbiments. The wine list highlights Organic, Vegan, and women led products we playfully categorize under “Lady Producers. The cocktail program in comparison is derived from a chef driven kitchen and focuses on sustainable spirits that highlight the grain/mash used to make the imbibement. We will use products such as fresh vegetable juices, gut healthy ingredients and have zero-proof cocktail selections.

Day to Day: 

  • Support the flow of service with the captain 
  • Run food to tables with appropriate droplines 
  • Learn full knowledge of menu items: food, preparations, and ingredients 
  • Manage table maintenance, ensuring all proper mise is set in place 
  • Reset tables after guests leave 

REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Exceptional communication skills as it pertains to food 
  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience in a fine dining NYT rated restaurant in a similar role 
  • Strong food knowledge with the emphasis on sustainable cuisine 
  • Self-motivated individual who takes initiative, has attention to detail, and strives for perfection 

Compensation Details

Compensation: Hourly ($10.00) plus tips

Estimated Weekly Tips: $900

West Village Restaurant led by Executive Chef Santiago Astudillo (previously of Le Bernardin and Daniel) turns the dial on what it means to operate a sustainable restaurant. Our plant-forward menu starts with a selection of sharable small plates moving into a range of plant based and sustainable animal protein dishes. Inspired by the products of the season, his experience, and heritage the produce on our menu shines with attention to detail on every plate.

Alongside a unique and sustainable wine and beverage program featuring fresh ingredients and locally-made spirits from Gabriel Maldonado (previously of Jean-Georges and Le Cou Cou). Including female led grower producer champagnes to New York based selections, our list emphasizes producers who think past wine making and look further into the bottle. Our cocktails take note from our kitchen with fresh juices and gut healthy products including zero proof cocktails.

The highly designed 60-seat subterranean space by Elmo Studios features three uniquely defined rooms that are inspired by The Wesley’s health-oriented concept. The goal is minimalism and comfortability with each room embodying a natural environment with textural materials and organic elements.
