We are proud to announce the opening of Albert's Bar, the newest location from the team behind The Spaniard and The Penrose! Located a stone’s throw from Grand Central Station on 41st St. between Lexington and 3rd Avenue, Albert’s aims to bring back the former glory of an era gone by in Midtown. The focus will be on renditions of timeless cocktails and classic elevated bar food. We're looking for a strong, passionate Front of House Manager that is ready for the excitement and intensity of an opening!
THE ROLE:
As a member of the management team, you will help oversee daily operations for Albert's. We're looking for a strategic thinker, problem-solver, multi-tasker, and excellent communicator. This key leader will uphold Albert's standards of excellence in all areas including team management, quality of service, workplace culture, and guest relations.
WHO YOU ARE:
- 2+ years of experience in a leadership role in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Extensive knowledge of beer, wine, liquor, and cocktails, preferably strong whiskey knowledge
- An approachable and intelligent leader who can motivate, manage and develop a large and diverse team
- Excellent verbal and written/digital communication skills
- Self-starter who is results-oriented and who appreciates and takes initiative on both the essential details and the bigger picture
- Team player with a roll-up-your-sleeves attitude
- Superb time management skills with the ability to prioritize and organize work assignments have timely follow-up and execution
- Full availability, including nights and weekends
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Hands-on management of day-to-day operations of Albert's Bar
- Help oversee the FOH and BOH teams, working floor shifts creating a positive work environment, driving sales, motivating the team, and creating exceptional guest experiences
- Assist with hiring, training, coaching, and overall development of team members including orientation, performance reviews, and any necessary disciplinary actions
- Foster a dynamic, enjoyable, and inclusive culture
