Faun is seeking a Floor Manager to join our team. As a Floor Manager, you will support our staff in providing welcoming and knowledgeable service. The right candidate has a gracious, empathic, and growth-oriented approach to leadership anchored in leading by example. In addition to being present on the floor for 4-5 services/week, the Floor Manager’s job duties include administrative tasks, such as composing daily reports, conducting inventories, and ordering. The position offers the opportunity for growth into a private event coordination role as well. The Floor Manager will work closely with the Owner/Operator, General Manager, Bar Manager, Chef, and Sous Chef, and is expected to provide leadership across departments.
*Sunday full-day availability required. Beyond that, flexible scheduling.
Requirements
- 5 years of progressive experience in the hospitality industry plus 1 year of management experience or 7 years of progressive experience in the hospitality industry.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Positive attitude and a strong work ethic rooted in a team mentality.
- Demonstrated food, wine, and spirits knowledge.
- The ability to directly supervise 8-12 people on a high-volume, physically-segmented floor, with a flexible staffing structure.
- Human resources and private events experience is preferred but not required.
Compensation
The Floor Manager is compensated hourly starting at $30/hour with the opportunity for growth into a salaried position.
