Qualifications / Requirements
- 2+ years of bartending experience, preferably from NYT reviewed establishments
- A passion for hospitality, food, beverage and dining
- Full competency in using bar tools, following recipes and high volume bar service
- Ability to maintain & articulate full knowledge of all menus
- A positive attitude, excellent communication skills, thoughtful service style
- A quick learner, hard worker and enthusiastic team member
- Advanced knowledge of spirits, wine and beers
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Presence-- arrive physically and mentally prepared for your shift, prepared to stand for up to 8 hours
Proper execution of-- opening/closing duties, maintenance of the workspace, DOH compliance, cocktails and mixed drinks, service
Customer Relations-- welcome guests, guide them through the ordering process, offer suggestions to enhance the dining experience, anticipate needs in an effortless manner, inquire about allergies/aversions and relay to all necessary parties.
Cash Management-- process payment, handle cash, hold receipts, properly enter tips, properly document tips.
Bar Operations-- manage multiple service tickets, maintain a clean and organized workspace, transfer checks to dining tables, maintain a properly stocked bar.
Teamwork-- Assist colleagues when possible, work together to provide excellent service for the entire restaurant, run food & drink tickets, assist with the front door, clear and reset tables
Problem Solving-- execute proper protocol for food & drink related guest complaints, relay all other guest complaints to management, utilize chain of communication to gather information
