Job Details
POSITION SUMMARY:

The Events Coordinator/Reservations will work closely with the Events Manager and Chief of Staff to build and maintain a high functioning centralized reservations department with Delicious Hospitality Group. The Events Coordinator/Reservationist is also responsible for working closely with the Events Team and executing small group dining and PDR.

RESTAURANTS:

  • Work closely with the Managers to build and maintain a centralized reservations system for Delicious Hospitality Group.
  • Work with the Chief of Staff & Events Manager to build a foundation for a future centralized phone system.
  • Responsible for answering reservation phone and manage the [email protected] email accounts at all Delicious Hospitality Group businesses and respond to all guest inquiries within an appropriate and timely fashion.
  • Develop an advanced knowledge of Resy and work closely with their team to build effective protocols and systems that suit the needs of the businesses. Must have superior technical knowledge of Resy with ability to troubleshoot any issues or errors outside of regular business hours.
  • Develop an advanced understanding of reservations booking strategies at each business, based on seasonality and other external factors.
  • Develop and execute a tier system for VIPS that allows all team members to identify and address all guest needs as appropriate in a clear and efficient manner.
  • Actively manage and monitor all waitlists, daily.
  • Effectively manage the guest reservations experience in a timely and hospitable manner.
  • Field all incoming reservations and work closely with management to accommodate regular guests and VIPs.
  • Work with managers at each business to build the reservations book for each service in order to maximize cover counts in a responsible manner.
  • Establish best practices for reservations and guest relations for use across company.

 EVENTS:

  • Manage reservations for group dining and special ticketed events for all locations.
  • Handle all reservations and communication with client for Charlie Bird’s PDR.
  • Work closely with events manager to assist with event inquiries and communication.

 Essential Functions:

  • Able to lift 30+ lbs
  • Polished personal presentation: grooming meets Company standards, as outlined by Employee Handbook
  • Communicates information effectively and efficiently
  • Able to work nights, weekends and holidays, and variable schedule, per the needs of the business
  • Ability to walk, stand, and/or bend continuously and for extended periods as required to perform essential job functions.
  • Ability to perform essential job functions under pressure, maintain professionalism when working under stress.
  • Must notate and communicate all guest information and requests accurately.
  • Demonstrate proper use of the guest notes and reservations notes function, as well as phone protocols.
  • Exhibit professionalism when speaking to guests and communicating information.
  • Effective and efficient communication between those calling the restaurant and the management team, as required.
  • Ability to utilize traditional software programs such as Gmail, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint), Resy, and any additional systems as needed; ability to access and accurately input information using a moderately complex computer system.
  • Completes other duties as assigned by Events Manager.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills including ability to listen attentively and to communicate information clearly and effectively.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal, collaborative, and relationship-building skills; ability to interact positively with teammates at various levels across the company and customers.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well with cross-functional groups backgrounds.
  • Due to the risk that workers in New York City face who perform in-person work or interact with the public, Delicious Hospitality Group will continue to require proof of vaccination from all employees. Delicious Hospitality Group will continue to require proof of vaccination prior to an employee’s first day of employment.

Work Experience Requirements

  • 5+ years’ experience as a Events Coordinator/Reservationist or a similar caliber.

Education Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality, Culinary Management, or similar subject, preferred

Compensation Details

Compensation: Salary ($59,000.00 - $65,000.00)
