Monkey Bar, Hogsalt's newest New York restaurant, is seeking a Full Time Wine Director to join our team!

Experience and Qualifications:
- 2-5+ years of experience in full-service restaurants.
- Must have open availability including evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Flexibility and willingness to adapt to ongoing changes.
- Able to inspire, motivate, and develop employees.
- Ability to identify problems and solve.
- Proven track record in building high-performing teams.
- Professional and confident verbal and written communication with guests, employees and ownership.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Inspire and lead an inclusive wine culture.
- Be an advocate for wines of all price points and values.
- Provide knowledgeable, humble wine education opportunities for teammates and guests.
- Create and follow weekly, monthly, and quarterly forecasting for all beverage items.
- Plan, forecast, execute, and track beverage orders.
- Ensure all invoices are uploaded accurately every week; keep order guides current with items and pricing.
- Procure high end wine selections through auctions & specialty distributors.
- Work collaboratively with the Executive Beverage Team, including getting approval for any new menu item.
- Maintain pricing and packages for private event beverage offerings and participate in private event execution as needed.
- Communicate and build strong relationships with vendors.
- Enter all beverage related POS items into the system before service begins.
- Ensure accurate pricing for all beverage menu items in POS system.
- Ensure all beverage storage areas (liquor room, wine coolers, wine racks, keg rooms, etc. ) are clean, organized, and working properly.
- Maintain current menus that are aligned properly, have no spelling errors, have correct prices and correct vintages.
- Be an active participant in all areas of the restaurant and constantly contribute to its success.
- Train, motivate, inspire, develop, and manage a high performing team.
- Maintain flexibility and willingness to adapt to ongoing changes.
- Identify and solve problems with a positive mindset.
- Process customer complaints with patience, grace, and generosity.
- Adhere to food, health and safety standards.
- Ensure policies and procedures are followed, including hiring, progressive discipline, and wage increases.
- Participate in 6-month reviews for FOH hourly staff.

Compensation Details
Compensation: Salary ($95,000.00 - $110,000.00)
