Assistant General Manager – Wine & Beverage Knowledge

Our ideal candidate is capable of managing a fine-dining experience as well as directing the restaurant’s high-volume pace. Emphasis on delivering outstanding guest service, manager development.
This role will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the restaurant.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Ensure that Restaurant operation is maintained on a daily basis and that needs of the owner, employees, members and guests are met and/or exceeded
- Implement, monitor, adhere to, and enforce compliance with all company policies, procedures, and standards and local, state, and federal law as well as all mandated policies, procedures, and standards, as applicable.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with management team to include relaying pertinent information to subordinates, communicating expectations and appreciation, share "big picture”.
- Oversee and approve staffing levels/scheduling within budgetary guidelines and in accordance with operational needs.
- Monitor service trends by engaging with guests, reviewing guest comment/reviews and emails; make changes as necessary.
· Ability to recruit, train, and inspire the staff.

- Participate in employee meetings, reviews, and training programs while promoting the professional growth and development of the entire team.
Required Skills/Qualifications:
- Must have 3-5 years related experience in food & beverage operations with a proven track record of leading a professional, efficient, high quality, service-oriented operation.
- Certified Sommelier not a must but would be a plus
- 5 years’ high-level management experience in fine dining restaurants, preferably as Manager or position of equal responsibility.
- Possesses strong leadership skills, extremely detail oriented, incredible interpersonal skills, with a solid understanding of human resources, operations and budget compliance.
- Responsible for accomplishing business goals through a culture of leadership, hospitality, positive guest and staff experience and fiscal achievement.
