PB Boulangerie Bistro is located in South Wellfleet, Massachusetts, and is renown throughout Cape Cod as the go-to destination for artisanal baked breads, croissants, sandwiches, and pastries.
The Bakery Manager will be responsible for leading and overseeing the front of house staff in the bakery, roughly 7 team members off season and 25 team members summer season. In conjuction with other Managers, you will be responsible for hiring, developing and holding team members accountable for their work to ensure highest quality guest service. The individual in this position should have a positive working attitude and strong work ethic to lead by example. You will also be responsible for profitability, expense control, purchasing/merchandising, health and safety practice and adhering to standards of restuarant business.
Opened in 2009 by Chef Philippe Rispoli, hailing from Lyon, France, this bistro provides a taste of France in this coastal town. PB Boulangerie is perhaps the Cape’s best-kept secret – although it attracts scores and scores of customers who thrill to get their fill on the French la vie.
We are looking for the highest-caliber, enthusiastic hospitality professional to lead the restaurant team into the future. You will provide leadership, supervision, and support to the entire operation. You will collaborate directly with the other house Managers along with owners Philippe and Eliza Rispoli. The right individual will have a strong service background and must be able to lead and train the team. Main Responsibilities:
- Skilled in hospitality, wine service, and cuisine. Presents a strong floor presence.
- Works closely with GM to ensure restaurant delivers a maximum level of service and satisfaction.
- Oversees the training and monitors the performance of team members. Oversees hiring, performance management, scheduling, and employee engagement.
- Facilitates effective communication throughout the bakery. Creates a motivating environment.
- Supports marketing, promotion, and social media.
Requirements:
- Minimum three years of food and beverage experience.
- Bachelor’s Degree in hotel and restaurant management or equivalent is strongly favored but not required.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships in all directions: ownership, co-workers, team members, and guests while listening and addressing concerns as needed.
- Must possess outstanding organizational, interpersonal skills, and excellent attention to detail.
- An outgoing team player with a positive attitude and problem-solving skills, willing to adapt and learn every day.
