Lead Bartenders, Hosts, Managers, Bottle Servers, Cooks, and all Back of House Positions for NEW Christmas Bar Pop Up in the GOLD COAST!

High Volume Hospitality Wanted! Nutcracker Bar & Hotel is Opening in Chicago. This holiday's hottest new pop up will be opening on November 19th.

Just Steps away from Water Tower, Michigan Avenue and Rush Street, we are looking for experienced Staff for all positions!

Server Responsibilities:

  • Prepare restaurant tables with special attention to sanitation and order
  • Attend to customers upon entrance
  • Present restaurant menus and help customers select food/beverages
  • Take and serve orders
  • Answer questions or make recommendations
  • Set tables and rearrange the dining area to accommodate larger groups and prepare the restaurant for special events
  • Collaborate with other restaurant servers and kitchen/bar staff
  • Deal with complaints or problems with a positive attitude
  • Issue bills and accept payment

Host/Hostess Responsibilities:

  • Welcome guests in a warm and friendly manner
  • Manage reservations and seating chart
  • Escort customers to assigned dining or bar areas
  • Provide menus and announce Server’s name
  • Monitors restaurant activity to determine seating and dining flow
  • Responds to guest inquiries and requests in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner
  • Maintain a clean reception area
  • Cater to guests who require extra attention
  • Performs opening and closing duties, as needed
  • Assists others with side work including, but not limited to cleaning, stocking, folding silverware, etc.
  • Helps fellow team members and other departments wherever necessary to maintain positive working relationships

Bartender/Cocktail Server Responsibilities:

  • Assist guests in selecting beverages by presenting menu, making recommendations, explaining specials, identifying appropriate wines and answering questions
  • Have an expert understanding of cocktail recipes and ingredients and be able to mix those drinks correctly
  • Have an expert understanding of the restaurant’s wines/champagnes
  • Mix beverages using an extensive range of ingredients including liquor, bitters, soda, water, sugar, and fruits
  • Prepare garnishes
  • Place orders using POS system
  • Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
  • Place food orders for bar patrons
  • Serve the needs of multiple guests at the same time
  • Maintain service pace by removing glassware and being alert to patron spills or other special needs
  • Control flow of service to guests and monitor guests’ alcohol consumption
  • Abide by sanitation, health and company guidelines concerning safety, cleanliness, safe food handling and alcoholic beverages
  • Observe proper serving etiquette and techniques
  • Organize the bar to streamline drink preparation and service
  • Address guest concerns promptly, politely and positively
  • Issue bill and collect payment from guest
  • Handle cash and be responsible for accurately opening and closing the cash drawer
  • Maintain a clean work and bar area by removing trash, cleaning tables, and washing glasses, utensils, and equipment
  • Execute opening and closing procedures as directed
  • Take orders and tables and at the bar and effectively communicate orders to Bartenders (cocktail servers)

Dishwasher Responsibilities:

  • Collect used kitchenware from dining and kitchen areas
  • Load and unload dishwashing machines
  • Store clean dishes, glasses and equipment appropriately
  • Ensure there are always enough clean dishes, glasses and utensils, especially during peak hours
  • Maintain cleaning supplies stock
  • Remove garbage regularly
  • Sanitize the kitchen area, including the floor

Cook Responsibilities:

  • Sets up and stocks food items and other necessary supplies.
  • Prepares food items by cutting, chopping, mixing, and preparing sauces.
  • Cooks food items by grilling, frying, sautéing, and other cooking methods to specified recipes and standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and complies with food sanitation requirements by properly handling food and ensuring correct storage.
  • Cleans and sanitizes cooking surfaces at the end of the shift.
  • Performs inventory checks and completes food storage logs
