The ideal candidate for this position has the basic understanding of a kitchen operation within the hotel. This person will be responsible for producing a consistent, quality product that meets and exceeds the guests' needs in a timely manner. The person selected for this role has basic skills in department training and is capable of assuming department responsibilities in the absence of the Sous Chef. The Culinary Supervisor has the skills and knowledge to include culinary education, basic cost control understanding, basic communication, leadership skills and computer skills.  They may assist in monitoring payroll costs & overtime. Responsibilities include the supervising of hourly cooks.

Qualifications - External

  • Takes pride in a great job done  
  • A true desire to satisfy the needs of others  
  • Able to lift, pull, and push a moderate weight  
  • Able to walk and stand throughout duration of shift 
  • Flexible availability as needed 
  • As well as …
  • Good Communication skills required.
  • At least 4 years of previous line and fine dining experience preferred.
  • Culinary degree or related hotel experience preferred.
  • Able to work most stations of the kitchen.
