EXPERIENCED SOUS CHEF 


Vermilion, a modern American, fine dining restaurant in Old Town, Alexandria is searching for a dedicated sous chef.   The candidate should be a skilled, career-minded individual in search of a rewarding and unique kitchen management position. We are seeking candidates who are passionate about cooking and possess a strong work ethic.


Responsibilities include:

-Executing and managing production of fresh baked breads, pastas, charcuterie, and butchering programs.  

-Expediting and managing service in the absence of the executive chef.  

-Developing and contributing menu ideas for rotating specials and seasonal menu changes.  

-Daily leadership to effectively develop, train and manage all team members.

-Food and labor cost management.  

-Maintain a standard of success


Requirements include:

-Excellent cooking skills

-3 years of relevant restaurant experience 

-Able to handle a fast-paced environment and manage pressure well

-Responsible, respectful and team player 

-Great work ethic and committed to being the best
