Two James Beard Award-winning restaurateurs, Keith McNally, and Stephen Starr collaborated on the reopening of Pastis in 2019 in NYC’s Meatpacking District – a neighborhood they helped cultivate nearly 15 years ago.

We are thrilled to share the expansion of Pastis to the Wynwood District of Miami and are in search of industry professionals who are excited to be part of a highly anticipated restaurant opening with an established hospitality group that offers long-term career advancement and professional growth opportunities.

McNally is the visionary and creator of the original Pastis concept. STARR Restaurants’ team will focus on the daily operation and delivering memorable dining experiences. Pastis Miami will feature some of the many elements it’s known and loved for. From a classic curved zinc bar outfitted with signature subway tiles, vintage mirrors with handwritten daily specials, and mosaic-tiled floors. The expansive space, inclusive of a breathtaking glass-covered patio, will welcome guests to enjoy exceptional French fare in a timeless Parisian brasserie, no matter the weather.

If you are a lead-by-example Executive Chef with strong culinary skills and the desire to lead and mentor a large, diverse team providing exceptional dishes with care and consistency– we want to hear from you!

The desired candidate will have:

  • A minimum of 5 years of progressive culinary management experience in well-rated restaurants
  • Prior experience opening a new restaurant is a plus!
  • Prior experience and success in running expo in a busy kitchen
  • Experience hiring, training, and mentoring salaried managers and hourly BOH staff
  • Strong financial acumen with the proven ability to oversee cost control, labor management, and bottom-line profitability
  • Ability to mentor, motivate and drive performance and results of a diverse culinary workforce
  • A love for French cuisine & culture!
