Server (Longmont, CO)
As an Outworld Brewing server, you’ll create memorable experiences for our guests. This position is ideal for someone who has a passion for great food and great fun and enjoys working in a high energy, fast paced (Sci-fi. Fantasy-themed) environment that provides guests with an entertaining, fun and dynamic experience. This is the position for you if, at your last serving job, guests constantly request your section and you know the names of all the regulars!
RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide guests with a positive brewpub experience
Greet guests and build rapport by asking questions and initiating conversation
Prepare restaurant tables with special attention to sanitation and order
Present restaurant menus and help customers select food/beverages
Take and serve orders
Maintain a thorough knowledge of menu items, beer, liquor and wine
Understands and can describe menu offerings, answer questions and make suggestions regarding food and beverages
Deliver professional, courteous, and efficient service to our guests
Make suggestions based on customer tastes and preferences
Build a rapport with regular customers to create a positive atmosphere
Verify identification and age requirements of customers
Follow the established table service procedures
Pre-bus and maintain tables
Complete assigned side work and duties
Present Guests their check and settle payment
Deal with complaints or problems with a positive attitude
Speak with others using clear and professional language
Practice teamwork by helping co-workers
Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures
Record and balance cash receipts and prepare cash deposits, when requested
Other side work duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
One or more years previous experience as a server, preferably in a brewpub establishment
Ability to work in a collaborative environment
Working knowledge of point-of-sale systems and restaurant management software
Patience and customer-oriented approach
Excellent people skills with a friendly attitude
Available to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
High school diploma is a plus but not required
TIPS or ServSafe Certification, a plus
Interest in science fiction/ fantasy a plus
Weekend availability required
