Job Details

Position Summary: Ensure quality and consistency of, and properly stores, all deliveries. Interacts with fellow employees, and supervisors in a polite and courteous manner to ensure gracious hospitality.

Duties and Responsibilities: including but not limited to

  • Maintain professional appearance standards as directed in the Hotel Barriere Employee Handbook.
  • Accurately follow specifications of purchase orders.
  • Uses several different computer applications to communicate, generate information, analyze data, and place orders
  • Inspects and receives all deliveries and ensures the accuracy of all orders including but not limited to:
    • Receiving purchase orders, while checking for accurate quantity and price.
    • Checking expiration dates and quality of items received.
    • Verify all product orders upon delivery, including cross-checking amounts against purchase orders and invoices, and verifying the quality of the product itself meets Company standards
    • Record and/or unpack all items received, following procedures specified by Barriere management
  • Completes daily paperwork including but not limited to posting of all invoices into receiving and operation logs, chefs’ logs, and service log
  • Works as part of a team and provides help and support to all fellow team members.
  • Complete opening side work checklist for shift daily
  • Maintain cleanliness of all storage areas: dry storage, walk-in cooler, freezers, paper good storage, chemical storage, beverage storage, and any other storage areas
  • Inform Chef and/or Sous Chef of any product, materials, or equipment needs
  • Assist Chef and/or Sous Chef with product inventory to prepare weekly food orders, as needed
  • Maintain positive relations with vendors and delivery personnel
  • Maintain sanitation to Department of Health standards for all storage areas
  • Complete closing side work checklist for shift daily - Inform Chef, Sous Chef, or General Manager immediately of any DOH or OSHA/workplace safety violations

Compensation Details

Compensation: Hourly ($19.00 - $23.00)
