 About the Job

  • Work with the executive chefs to develop and implement creative menu items that adhere to Breadblok standards.
  • Lead, oversee and operate all functions related to food preparation. This encompasses the ability to receive and offer direction, be solutions-oriented and encourage/cultivate an environment of growth.
  • Manage all activities in the kitchen, including food preparation and production, and management and training of kitchen staff.
  • Supervise and inspect all preparation and cooking equipment on a regular basis to ensure that they are kept clean, sanitary and in perfect operating order.
  • Assure adherence to all standards of food quality, preparation, recipes, and presentation in conjunction with the specifications.
  • Monitor holding and storage operations, stocking and food rotation, and guarantee food service sanitation standards are met. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations for food handling and sanitation standards.
  • Assure kitchen personnel is trained in best cleanliness and sanitation practices.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

  • Culinary leadership experience is a must; proven track record of coaching and developing team members.
  • Creative in terms of coming up with new dishes.
  • Meticulous in terms of maintaining a clean and efficient work environment.
  • In-depth skills and knowledge of cooking and all kitchen operations.
  • Possess strong leadership, communication, organization and relationship skills
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Training from a culinary school is an asset.
  • Safe Food Handling Certification.
