Id Est Hospitality is hiring a Boulder Campus General Manager to serve as the daily operating manager at Basta and Dry Storage Bakehouse.

  • Ability to coordinate a wide range of activities and recommend appropriate solutions to restaurant-related problems
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a supervisory position at a full-service, high volume, urban finer dining restaurant, or other food and beverage establishment with a similar capacity and clientele
  • Has supervised at least 30 employees
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks at a time while maintaining attention to details
  • Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays


The following are operational responsibilities required of this role
:

  • Direct front-of-house operations: driving set up and service, managing reservations, and POS systems
  • Drive hospitality, education, and training to staff
  • Ensure a memorable guest experience in all aspects of service. Promptly investigate and resolve complaints concerning service and food quality, taking all appropriate actions to turn dissatisfied guests into regulars.
  • Ensure all financial and personnel/payroll administrative duties are completed accurately, on time, and in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain an accurate plan of action for restaurant staffing needs. Interview and hire candidates. Ability to determine the applicability of experience and qualifications of job applicants.
  • Working closely with the kitchen leads to drive cohesiveness between the front and back of the house
  • Recognize the power of being present and engaged with guests and staff at all times. Focus on people and making connections, while strengthening relationships that already exist.
  • Create an annual budget and report on profit and loss statements.
  • Oversee and manage all areas of the restaurant and make final decisions on matters of importance.
  • Plan, implement and oversee employee supervision, discipline, training, development, and termination. Provide direction to employees regarding operational and procedural issues.
  • Make adjustments or solve problems as they arise in the POS system. Familiar with looking up labor and sales reports, product mix, credit cards, and tickets. Familiar with the creation and maintenance of the POS system
  • Develop employees by providing ongoing feedback, establishing performance expectations, and conducting performance reviews. Promote growth within the staff through leadership and positive energy. Help and inspire each employee to reach their greatest potential.
  • Manage shifts including daily decision making, scheduling, product quality, and cleanliness.
  • Align restaurant operations with the overarching goals of the establishment
  • Maintain restaurant equipment; schedule repairs and additional maintenance as needed
  • Share the restaurant's vision and responsibility of being eco-conscious through sustainability and leadership in the community and industry.
  • Ensure proper safety procedures are in place to provide a safe working and guest environment and to reduce the risk of injury and accidents. Report employee or guest accidents promptly.
  • Ensure sanitary procedures for food handling, general cleanliness, and maintenance of kitchen and dining areas are maintained. Ensure compliance with operational standards, health department regulations, and all federal/state/local laws. Always follow and enforce company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure consistent, high-quality service, and food preparation. Adhere to company standards to increase sales and minimize costs.
  • Reservation management - should be able to review reservations, open time slots, move reservations with the grid and utilize the system during service
