Job Details

Manresa is a 3-Michelin starred Restaurant located in Los Gatos owned and operated by Chef David Kinch, currently open Wednesday through Sunday offering a fixed price Chef’s Tasting Menu. 


We are currently seeking dedicated line cooks looking to develop their career and grow within the industry to join our Team as Commis. We are looking to hire the right candidate immediately, with a 5 day paid stage as a trial period. This role is full time, shifts are Wednesday through Sunday beginning at 1:30pm and going until close, around 12:30am or 1am depending on the night. This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside talented teammates and work under a world renowned Chef pushing the boundaries of food. 


Responsibilities:

  • Prepare menus in collaboration with colleagues
  • Ensure adequacy of supplies at the cooking stations
  • Prepare ingredients that should be frequently available (vegetables, spices etc.)
  • Follow the guidance of the executive or sous chef and have input in new ways of presentation or dishes
  • Put effort in optimizing the cooking process with attention to speed and quality
  • Enforce strict health and hygiene standards
  • Help to maintain a climate of smooth and friendly cooperation

 Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a Chef de Partie role in a fine dining environment. Ideally, 1 to 3 years.
  • Excellent use of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and processes
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure
  • Knowledge of best cooking practices
  • Culinary school diploma preferred but not required.
