Open availability is Required
AM Shift: 9am-6pm
PM Shift: 2pm-11pm

Job Description:

Title: Sous Chef

Reports to: Site Chef, Executive Chef, Culinary Director

Position Objective: Example: Our Sous Chefs are management on site, and as such, they are the backbone and leader of the kitchen as a whole. Their primary focus is the oversight of daily operations and the communication with the line staff. This position also oversees line staff to ensure a positive guest experience. They will maintain the tone and vibe as related from Land and Sea Dept.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Oversight of Staff:
Supervise all employees on shift to ensure a smooth service
Manage line staff effectively to ensure completion of daily responsibilities

Oversight of Sales and Profitability:
Work with Site Chef on daily ordering based on sales to ensure proper food cost
Oversee staff to ensure proper use of all product in house

Oversight of Property:
Maintain a clean work environment throughout the shift including clean floors, work surfaces, and equipment
Help organized all food storage areas including walk-in’s and dry storage areas
Observe all city of chicago food safety guidelines
Maintain professional appearance at all time, attitude and appearance
Must be able to lift 40 lbs and stand for extended periods of time
May perform other job duties as they arise
