Full-time positions are available immediately for: Pastry Sous Chef

You will be working with an industry-leading team in a tight-knit, professional, and creative environment We believe in building a seamless BOH team and looking for a person who wants to grow with us. This position is perfect for someone who wants to get his/her foot through the door and pursue a long-term career in the F&B industry.

Job Description:

  • Daily production for Pastry and some Savory
  • Daily spinning ice cream
  • Working the service line for Pastry and Savory if needed
  • Management of all ordering and acceptance of daily deliveries and ability to keep things within set cost margins with suppliers
  • Management of organization of kitchen, including organization and cleanliness
  • Daily quality checks of products

Qualification Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a managerial position in Pastry
  • A genuine passion and knowledge for food and pastries
  • Prior experience with laminated dough, cakes, ice cream, chocolate, and sugar work
  • Experience with service and expediting
  • Dependable and hard-working
  • Sociable and friendly to staff and guests. Again, we a very tight-knit group that work closely with each other BOH and FOH
  • Must be meticulously clean and aware of all food safety standards (NYC Food Handler's License a plus).
  • Must be available to work on different shifts, weekends, and holidays.
