Job Details

Benoit New York, a casually elegant, restaurant from Alain Ducasse, is looking for passionate, experienced and motivated Backwaiter to join our talented Front of House Team. (Full time preferred, Part time ok))

Job Requirements:

  • Support Server during Service in the Dining room or on the outside Terrace 
  • Clearing, Re-stocking, polishing glassware, cutleries and plates.
  • Server Station mise en place at the start and finish of service to be ready and stocked for Service 
  • Asking guests if they would prefer still, sparkling or tap water, informing server of their preference & refilling water throughout the guests’ meal
  • Table maintenance: setting mise en place between courses with the appropriate cutlery based on the guests’ order clearing plates and glassware from tables once the guests have confirmed they are finished, crumbing each table after the main course (or when necessary throughout the meal) with a crumber and a small plate
  • Dining room maintenance: ensuring a clean and neat space at all times (no crumbs on the banquettes, clean table cloths, clean floor [napkins, food, paper, cutlery etc])
  • Completion & sign-off of daily cleaning duties
  • Flexible in helping on the Floor / Running if help is needed
  • Carry food trays to tables using the correct seat positions on the ticket. Place appetizer or entrée to the correct seat positions accordingly, serving the women first.
  • Menu knowledge: all employees should be prepared to answer guests questions regarding menu item
  • Assist other back waiters and servers with table and dining room maintenance when necessary
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Provide COVID-19 Test or vaccine proof
