We are currently seeking a Sous Chef who is dedicated to their craft to join our opening team.
Requirements:
- 1-2 years of Sous Chef experience in a reputable restaurant
- Prior experience training and mentoring an hourly line cook team
- Excellent meat/fish butchery skills and know all properties of making stocks & sauces
- A great work ethic and commitment to uncompromising quality
- A passion for high quality ingredients and dynamic cooking technique
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to lead-by-example
- Understand costing, pricing, and sales goals for the restaurant and implement systems to reach set goals.
- Set the standards for safe work habits and DOH compliance
- Full understanding of kitchen’s two minute DOH drill
- Ability to walk inspectors through during a visit
- NY Food Handler Certification
- Hiring/Staffing/Training/Scheduling/Payroll
