Sous Chef Responsibilities:
- Ensuring that all food meets the highest standards of quality and consistency
- Leading and mentoring a strong culinary team, including hands on in the kitchen and on the line
- Collaborate with and support the culinary management team (Executive Chef, CDC, Exec Sous)
- Proper ordering and inventory
- Ensuring best practices for safety and sanitation in the kitchen
- Keeping track of new trends in the industry, especially within the healthy lifestyle space
Sous Chef Preferred Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in a similar position (Sous Chef, Kitchen Manager, Kitchen Supervisor, Junior Sous)
- Prior experience in large format, high-volume restaurants a plus
- Love for unique, quality, locally sourced ingredients
- Excellent communication skills and leadership qualities
- Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment
- Highly motivated, passionate, and have a strong sense of humility
- Exceptional standards for cleanliness, health, and safety
- Flexible schedule, including weekends, and on holidays
