Gran Eléctrica is a well-established Michelin Recommended DUMBO restaurant that offers an authentic and market-driven Mexican menu, particularly traditional Mexican street fare. Creating a new take on regionally-influenced Mexican cuisine, the menu aims to showcase a diversity of dishes from across the country with an emphasis on sourcing local ingredients, environmental impact and social consciousness. Service style is high volume with great attention to detail.
We are looking for motivated, friendly, respectful and passionate individuals with an innate sense of hospitality and a commitment to making a positive impact on their surroundings. Multitasking, organizational/communication skills and a desire to learn/grow are a must along with the ability to work well under pressure and as part of a team to achieve a stellar experience for our patrons.
Compensation: NYC minimum wage plus tips.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years experience in a high volume NYC restaurant
- Knowledge of spirits, cocktails, wine and beer (agave-based spirit knowledge is a must)
- Craft/classic cocktail experience
- Genuine interest in Mexican culture, cuisine, hospitality (FYI We are mezcal nerds!)
- Part-time/Full-time with flexible schedule. Weekend availability a must.

This is not a bar for the precious and conceded mixologist. We pump out an insane amount of drinks and predominantly margaritas, however there is an eclectic collection of agave spirit-based craft cocktails and an extensive mezcal/tequila list to challenge you mentally
