We are looking for line cooks and a sous chef. Windsor Tavern is currently being led by a new chef and we are looking for great people to form an exceptional team. Menu will be focused on seasonality, contemporary techniques while staying approachable and producing everything we can in house. Taking pride in our work will be vital and most importantly having a great time!


Hiring for a Sous Chef:


As a critical member of the culinary team, a successful Sous Chef  will prioritize positivity, passion, and flexibility. You will also have previous experience managing in a collaborative and food forward environment.


What you can expect:


The Sous Chef will work closely with the Executive Chef and kitchen staff in planning of the menu and any production needs by overseeing all aspects of the kitchen activities. This includes high level organizing, planning, cost controls, and leading the team while actively teaching and coaching current and future hourly staff. This will be a highly collaborative position and the opportunity for a culinary voice will be encouraged. Most importantly we want a healthy work environment for the entire team.

Qualified Sous Chefs must be energetic, enthusiastic, and have a great attitude.

  • At least 2 years of service experience in a sous chef or lead line cook role
  • Passion for creating an incredibly memorable guest experience through cooking
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced work environment effectively without losing focus on priorities and while maintaining a high level of quality. 
  • Must be able to demonstrate an extensive knowledge of (and desire to continue learning) all aspects of cooking, including: sourcing of ingredients, methods of preparation, cooking techniques, etc.
  • NYC Department of Health Food Protection Certification and a strong understanding, compliance, and enforcement of all best practices and procedures to maintain excellent restaurant hygiene conditions. 
  • Proficient in Google Workplace is a plus

 60-65k/hr

Hiring for Line Cook:


As a critical member of the culinary team, a successful Line Cook will prioritize positivity, passion, and flexibility. You will also have previous experience working in a collaborative and food forward environment. Most importantly we want a healthy work environment for the entire team.


What you can expect:


  • Produce consistent, quality dishes in a fast-paced environment.
  • Positive influence to the team and work well under pressure while also providing a welcoming work environment that increases staff morale.
  • Ability to multitask watch wastage, cooking temps and quality to reduce additional cost.
  • Assist with inventory to support the kitchen operating at a sustainable food cost.
  • Support Executive Chef and Sous Chef as needed.
