Bari is hiring Porter to join our team!!! We are seeking someone with a passion for Italian food and culture. The candidate should be eager to learn and grow with us.
Kitchen Porter responsibilities include washing pots and pans, keeping floors clean, sanitizing food preparation areas and occasionally helping with food prep work.
Responsibilities
- Keep all kitchen work surfaces clean and sanitized
- Sweep and mop floors at the beginning and ending of shifts
- Sort and rinse dirty dishes, glass, tableware and other cooking utensils and place them in racks to send through dish machine.
- Sort and stack clean dishes. Carry clean dishes to cook’s line and other proper storage areas. Rewash soiled dishes before delivering.
- Change dishwater in dish machine every hour.
- Arrange equipment and ingredient deliveries
- Set up or break down dishwashing area.
- Clean and roll/unroll mats.
- Fill/empty soak tubs with cleaning/sanitizing solutions.
- Keep the food and supply storage areas organized
- Gather and take out the garbage
- Help with routine food prep tasks (such as peeling and chopping vegetables) when needed
- Notify manager any time dish machine wash or rinse cycle falls below safety standard temperatures.
