Position: Dishwasher
Reports to: Chef de Cuisine, Sous Chef(s)
Position Classification: Non-exempt
Pay Type: Hourly
Purpose
The Dishwasher ensures that all kitchenware and the kitchen itself are kept in a clean and orderly condition.
Key Focus
- Clean and prepare all dishware for daily operations and throughout service.
- Assist in the cleanliness and hygiene of all kitchen areas.
- Clean food preparation areas, facilities, or equipment.
- Sort and remove trash in designated pickup areas.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Working as part of a team to ensure that all tasks are completed in order of priority, and in the allotted time frame.
- Ensuring that all staff have a safe and pleasant work environment at all times.
- Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, or pans, using dishwashers or by hand.
- Clean food preparation areas, facilities, or equipment.
- Sort and remove trash, placing it in designated pickup areas.
- Adheres to the company and City’s guidelines regarding COVID-19 policy.
Service Standards
- Maintain the high standards of cleanliness and appearance throughout the kitchen.
- Follow all company policies and procedures including recently created and evolving COVID guidelines.
- Follow all Department of Health (DOH) standards.

Physical Demands

The physical demands for this position frequently lifting up to 25 pounds, occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds, standing for long periods, bending, and moving intermittently during working hours.

Compensation Details
Compensation: Hourly ($18.00 - $19.00)
