Chavela’s is a Crown Heights staple - a neighborhood Mexican restaurant with a great reputation, well established in our community. We take pride in friendly, efficient service as well as excellence and consistency in our food and drink.

We are seeking an experienced front of house manager to join our team. Responsibilities include.
Working the floor with an eye for excellent, efficient service
Building team moral and creating a positive energy on the floor
Assisting in hiring and training new staff
Ensuring a smooth flow at the door, problem solving
Directing our staff for maximum efficiency
Trouble shooting delivery issues
Facilitating clear communication between BOH and FOH
Maintaining good relationships with our neighbors, regulars, and establishing new regulars
Helping to foster a light, fun energy among guests
Assisting with weekly schedule and addressing scheduling issues as they come up

Ideal candidate has:
3-5 years experience in a management position in a fast paced, high volume restaurant
Strong background in office work
A positive, enthusiastic and motivating personality
Great work ethic
