Busy, locally owned business seeks energetic chef to grow with a growing business. Stachowski Market is an established butcher shop, charcuterie, deli, bakery, and grocery store with a reputation for excellence. We close by 8pm M-Sat and by 6pm Sunday. Fully paid health benefits, vacation, sick days.

What you will do:
- Responsible for interviewing, hiring, training, developing, and retaining qualified employees
- Interact with, direct, and supervise kitchen employees on a daily basis in accordance with company standards
- Assign and enforce operational goals for staff
- Develop schedule for employees ensuring that the location is fully staffed for each shift and meeting labor targets
- Achieve food and labor costs
- Become proficient in all stations in the shop
- Ability to troubleshoot POS systems, specifically Revel POS
- Streamline organization of shop as a whole as well as kitchen production
- Meet multiple times during the day with staff to ensure production is moving forward
What you need to be qualified for the position:
- 3-5 years Sous Chef and/or equivalent in grocery establishment with food production
- Strong understanding of restaurant and/or quick service food operation
- Ability to lead a team
- Must be self motivated
- Must be able to stand on your feet for 8 hours or more a day
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Experience with purchasing and receiving
- Must be Servsafe certified
- Must have a strong cooking foundation. A culinary background is the most important prerequisite for this position.
