Forage Sous Chef
Forage is a market driven, contemporary California restaurant located on Rowena Ave. in Silver Lake. The menu showcases the bounty of California’s produce and caters to the Eastsider’s interest in fresh, wholesome, comforting food, and exceptional pastries. The atmosphere is casual, yet our staff offer attentive, knowledgeable service. With 30 seats indoors, 30 outdoors, and a high volume, large order take-out business, a natural wine and beer list, as well as catering drop-off and pick-up orders, the shifts are fast paced. Forage has been in business for 12 years, has a loyal neighborhood customer base.
The Sous Chef position is only open to those with at least 1 year in a Sous Chef position and a strong background with market-driven menus. Must have fast paced, high volume experience.
Culinary Arts degree
Minimum 2 years as Sous Chef
Sautee, grill, fryer, and pantry station expertise
Catering and large production experience
Spanish speaking a plus
