Job Details

We are a modern, casual fine dining concept opening in Westchester seeking an experienced Executive Sous Chef to join our team.

A successful candidate for this position will be in possession of the following:

The capacity to manage all Kitchen and BOH staff during both non-service periods and service periods without the requirement of additional oversight.

A willingness to be an unconditional team player.

A professional appearance and a calm, professional demeanor both in the kitchen and when attending to administrative duties.

A positive outlook and the leadership skills to instill positivity and a drive to succeed in others.

The ablity to make sound, well-reasoned decisions. 

A willingness to trust in the guidance of our Chef/Owner and Executive Chef and a willingness to learn from them.

A minimum of 2 years experience as a Sous Chef.

Full availability to include nights, weekends, and other schedule variances necessary to support the needs of the operation.

Full vaccination against COVID-19.

A current, up-to-date, ServSafe Certification.

An overview of basic responsibilities is listed below:



∙Organize and implement the full, daily set-up and breakdown of each service.

∙Maintain a professional, positive, and safe work environment.

∙Liaise between kitchen teams and service teams to ensure effective communication and positive interactions during service periods.

∙Implement, manage, and maintain scheduling for all levels of BOH staff.

∙Stay abreast of and maintain compliance with all operational and HR standards, following correct administrative and disciplinary procedures when necessary.

∙Complete administrative tasks with accuracy and punctuality as assigned.

∙Train and provide leadership to kitchen staff.

∙Work with leadership in supervising BOH operations to continuously refine and focus operational systems to ensure our culinary standards are always being met.

∙Additional tasks as assigned.
