The Pastry Cook is responsible for ensuring the end of a guest's meal is not only delicious, but memborable. You are responsible for food production and plating in accordance with Company specifications and standards. You are responsible for following Chef-approved recipes, while also maintaining an impeccably clean and organized work station. The ideal candidate for this opportunity will be driven, knowledgeable yet humble, and precise.
Daily Responsibilities:
- Adhere to all Health and Safety Regulations
- All aspects of food preparation and presentation
- Assists in control of inventory and supplies
- Promotes a safe, inclusive, and respectful work environment
- Complete tasks assigned in a timely efficient manner
- Communicate all kitchen related needs to the Pastry Chef or other Chef on Duty
- Assist other stations when needed
- Stay focused and hold self-accountable
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours in length.
- Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, and stretch to fulfill cleaning tasks.
- Must be able to carry 30 pounds or more
- Full Vaccination against COVID-19
- Up to date food handling certification.
Skills / Experience:
- 1+ years experience in a professional kitchen with pastry or bread experience strongly preferred
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrates a sense of urgency and works well under pressure
- Excellent time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks
