Essential Job FunctionSets and maintain all function rooms/areas, service corridors, storerooms and equipment in safe and efficient compliance with policies and procedures, brand standards and local regulations.
Responsibilities
- Have working knowledge of restaurant’s food and beverage preparation
- Efficient and correct set up of tables, chairs, platforms/stages and other equipment as specified by group requirements
- Check and properly adjust temperature and lights; and electrical hook-ups for proper working order and tape down all exposed cords
- Provide audio visual assistance including set up, instruct in proper equipment use, take down and secure storage of equipment
- Pick-up and deliver boxes/materials for functions as needed
- Service/freshen function rooms during breaks
- Break down of tables, chairs, platforms/stages and other equipment
- Return all unused equipment in clean condition to proper storage area
- Perform deep cleaning of function areas as assigned
- Maintain specific side-work and ensure the total cleanliness and smooth operation of the restaurant
- Report to work in a neat and clean uniform; well-groomed hair and personal hygiene are essential
- Collaborating and providing support to the service staff in a professional manner
- Deliver a consistently high level of customer service to each client
- Keep function and equipment storage clean in accordance with the company’s guidelines as well as the requirements of the local health department
- Develop an efficient work pace that keeps the customers at all times
Experience
- High school diploma
- 2+ years’ experience working in banquets or event venues, hotel experience preferred
- High level of reliability
- Flexible schedule required
- Must be able to stand for an 8-hour shift
