As the primary guest liaison, our Servers are the face of our restaurant! Through their personality, dress and work style, they are not only representing themselves but also our company and its culture. That said, while we hold all of our employees to very high standards of conduct we also encourage expression of individuality. We like to see each member of team show up in his or her own unique but appropriate style and ready to work as part of team!
Server Responsibilities:
• Engage with guests in a friendly and welcoming manner to help ensure a quality dining experience for guests from start to finish
• Communicate the tasting style of our menu, daily/nightly specials, offer thoughtful and appropriate food, wine or cocktail suggestions to guests
• Communicate any special requests and/or guest allergies to the chef
• Take orders in a timely and accurate manner
• Assist bussers and runners with preparing dining area as needed
• Cohesively function as part of a team with fellow servers, bussers, runners, hosts and all kitchen staff; offer a helping hand as needed
• Maintain a general awareness of both one's own table section as well as those nearby in order to assist guests and fellow co workers as needed
• Demonstrate thorough knowledge of our food menu, wine and liquor
• Experience with wine and liquor products and sales
• Demonstrate an interest and willingness to familiarize oneself with and offer daily/nightly specials
• Use POS system to accurately process guest bills
• Complete required server side work in a responsible and timely fashion
• Promptly and willingly respond to any guest concerns or complaints and help to resolve or direct to the appropriate person
• Provide excellent customer service to every person who enters through our doors
Server Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Age 21 years or older (minimum age or older to serve alcohol)
• 2+ years wait staff experience
• Be available to work various daytime, evening and weekend shifts
• Familiarity with restaurant POS software a plus
• Ability to thrive in an active, noisy, and demanding environment
• Be comfortable standing and walking for long periods during a very busy shift
• Able to safely lift and easily maneuver items when necessary
• Able to provide excellent customer service in a busy, fast-paced environment
• A positive attitude & ability to work well under pressure with guests and all restaurant staff
• Able to perform high-quality work while unsupervised
• Have a high level of professionalism and discretion in interaction with guests
• Have solid people skills, are friendly, personable and approachable with guests and all restaurant staff
