Rockstar Restaurant Manager for Michael Schlow’s Nama Ko’s Upcoming Opening
Nama Ko, Schlow Restaurant Group’s, new Japanese-inspired restaurant is opening in the soon to be transformed Tico space on 14th and U. We are seeking a Restaurant Manager to join the team to support Tico’s last weeks, while working with the team to open and launch Nama Ko. Position Summary:
The Restaurant Manager is on the leadership team with responsibility for the day to day operations of the restaurant along with the Assistant General Manager and General Manager. The Restaurant Manager works closely with the FOH team in the development, implementation and communications of restaurant strategies and business plans that align with SRG’s vision and culture. The Restaurant Manager is accountable for delivering operational excellence, while impressing every guest - every visit. The Restaurant Manager is expected to model SRG’s values and demonstrate enlightened hospitality in all actions and interactions in order to set the overall culture and tone in the restaurant.
Requirements include:

Preferably 1 year of management experience at a quality establishment; servers and bartenders looking to take the next step in their careers are also encouraged to apply

An enthusiasm for hospitality and constantly striving for guest satisfaction

A positive attitude towards fellow employees, strong leadership skills and attention to detail and the ability to work in a team environment

Candidates should be highly organized and efficient

Excellent food and beverage knowledge

Flexible schedule (must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays)
Duties/Responsibilities include:

Oversee daily restaurant operations
-
Reports directly to the GM
-
Manages front of house employees to ensure all aspects of service and operations, including but not limited to disciplinary action and conflict resolution

Support the back of the house team and chefs in maintaining the highest culinary standards

Create a vigorous learning environment and guide professional development

Work with the AGM and GM to oversee the organization, efficiency and policies pertaining to service in the dining room

Learn and manage scheduling (7 Shifts), POS functionality (Toast) and reservation system (OpenTable)

Maintain prime appearance and condition of the dining room and exterior of the restaurant
