This is a unique opportunity to work with Bon Appetit Management Company in the historic Old Post Office in the heart of Chicago! Uber has opened its sprawling new office space within the recently renovated Old Post Office which will serve as the headquarters for Uber Freight and all their Chicago operations.

Bon Appétit Management Company operates more than 1,000 cafés around the country for corporations, universities, and museums, as well as a few dozen public restaurants. We’ve led the industry in socially and environmentally responsible sourcing, from sustainable seafood to cage-free eggs. We cook everything from scratch using fresh, local ingredients.

Job Summary

This position will be responsible for preparing a self serve food station, stocking product and providing quality service of food for breakfast and lunch to all employees at Uber Chicago.

  • Serves customers in an efficient and friendly manner; resolves customer concerns.
  • Assist guests in a friendly and helpful manner
  • Cleans work areas, equipment and utensils; distributes supplies, utensils, and portable equipment.
  • Utilizes approved food production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control
  • Sets up station or section in time for service
  • Is courteous and helpful to all customer requests, seeks assistance from management or supervisors as needed
  • Confidently and accurately communicate product information
  • Maintain a clean and sanitized station and stock room
  • Monitor and maintain an inventory of supplies
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager

Required Skills/Qualifications:

  • ServSafe certification
  • Be a great teammate
  • Strong communication and people skills
  • Regular and reliable Mon-Fri attendance
  • CoVid vaccination 

Compensation Details

Compensation: Hourly ($19.00)

We are an on-site restaurant company offering full food-service management to corporations, universities, museums, and specialty venues. Based in Palo Alto, CA, we operate more than 1,000 cafés in 33 states for dozens of marquee clients.
