Job Details

The revival of Pastis was driven by two James Beard Award-winning restaurateurs, Keith McNally and Stephen Starr, who return to a neighborhood they helped cultivate. McNally is the visionary and creator of the concept while Starr and team focus on culinary and operations. Pastis features elements similar to the original such as the restaurant’s classic curved zinc bar outfitted with signature subway tiles, vintage mirrors with handwritten daily specials, and a mosaic-tiled floor. Guests can expect to find the classic bistro fare Pastis is known for, with a menu that offers breakfast, weekend brunch, lunch and dinner. 

We are seeking a full time Pastry Cook who is detailed oriented, has a passion for learning, and love for all things desserts!

Desired Qualifications:

  • Punctual, Hard-working, and Dependable - with a strong knowledge of French Cuisine
  • 1+ years of Pastry Cook experience in reputable high-volume and fine dining restaurants
  • Ability to manage a station from prep to service
  • Experience in dessert and pastry production, especially classic French techniques
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail in plating  
  • Comfortable tempering chocolate, making meringues, whipping cream, etc 
  • Full-time and Flexible Availability – including Weekend availability
